Nocturnae Luminis, "The Light of the Night", is a photographic journey through the darkness between dusk and dawn highlighting the unparalleled beauty created by the play of ever-present light as seen through the lens of photographer, Robert K. Jones. Robert has spent many years locating, shooting and collecting these images which are now presented for your enjoyment and bewilderment. Robert enjoys the challenge of capturing on film the incredible beauty which comes from the way light and lights at night play in our rarefied atmosphere and upon the film. This is special effects without artificiality. The exhibition starts and ends with the dramatic natural light show brought to us at dusk and dawn over the Pacific Ocean. The body of the exhibition takes you on a captivating journey through the darkness and the lightness of the night allowing you to experience the radiance created around everyday places by the interplay of the in-place artificial luminence and film. The exhibition presents a total of 26 images. There are striking singular images which demand your attention in addition to small theme groups of amazing beauty. However, Robert has ensured that you will never forget this exhibition as it includes his award winning "Time honored Custom" photograph of the Customs Clock Tower in Boston,MA finally re-illuminated after years of restoration work and the truly captivating series "The Five Elements" shot at Epcot in Florida.. We now invite you to preview "Nocturnae Luminis" and experience the "Light of the Night" as you have never done before. Please click on the doors to enter the exhibition and stimaulate your senses. |
